Lúnasa has been gathering the richness of Irish musical tradition since forming in 1997. Widely regarded as one of the most influential and electrifying bands in contemporary Irish music, Lúnasa—featuring flutist Kevin Crawford, piper Cillian Vallely, fiddler Seán Smyth, bassist Trevor Hutchinson, and guitarist Ed Boyd—has brought its exhilarating sound to more than 2,000 performances in 36 countries, from Carnegie Hall to Glastonbury.
Solas emerged from New York City in 1996, founded by Séamus Egan and Winifred Horan. Hailed by The Boston Globe as “the finest Celtic ensemble this country has ever produced,” they are one of the most celebrated Irish-American ensembles of their generation. Solas’ groundbreaking blend of Irish tradition, folk, bluegrass, and Americana, continues to illuminate the possibilities of what traditional music can become.
