Los Vega is a family-based ensemble with over 20 years of experience performing son jarocho, a traditional music from Veracruz, Mexico. Known for their strong cultural roots, refined musicianship, and dynamic stage presence, the group has become a standout name in the world of traditional Mexican music.

They have performed at major cultural festivals and venues across Mexico, as well as in the United States, Canada, China, and Colombia. Their music has been featured in film, including a recording of “La Bruja” for the Oscar-nominated soundtrack of Frida (2001). In 2019, they received another Oscar nomination through the Lunas del Auditorio.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Los Vega brought together over 20 leading son jarocho artists for a special concert event. That same year, they were invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York as part of the Tibetan Benefit Concert conducted by Philip Glass. Most recently, they presented a live showcase at Circulart in Colombia.

With five albums and an international profile, Los Vega continues to offer a powerful and authentic son jarocho experience to audiences worldwide.
